“And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall
come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after
thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be as God to thee, and to they seed
after thee. “ Genesis 17:6 & 7
Covenant is an agreement or promise between two or more people. The power of covenant is
awesome. When you begin to fully understand covenant you will have a new understanding of the
power of agreement.
To come into covenant with someone is to agree or take on their beliefs and destiny. In Biblical
times they would make a covenant or contract with each other and if one nation was under attack,
their covenant partner was under attack as well . A covenant was always made or sealed in blood.
The two leaders would make a small incision in their wrists and mingle or entwine the blood to seal
the covenant. Similar to when we were children and we would become blood brothers or sisters.
When God established his covenant with Abraham it was also a blood covenant. This above
scripture is pertaining to circumcision...The cutting of the flesh. Verse 13 of the same chapter
says…."and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant."
The power of agreement “Covenant” is awesome in a marriage. If couples can begin to understand
the power of agreement divorce statistics would drop. The covenant ministry is just unveiling the
“instructions” for men and women of God in marriage as it relates to the scriptures. Pastor James
reveals the God given roles of men and women in marriage and relationships.
The ministry provides ways and identifies the importance of keeping the lines of communication
open by coming into agreement before you take your vows oppose to arguing after. Traditional roles
we have acquired through teachings and our upbringing are being destroyed and the emphasis is
